The Duramax® diesel engine gives you a hefty 460 pound-feet of torque and all engines are connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. When it's equipped with the 6.2-liter V8, the GMC Sierra 1500 can reach 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. The maximum conventional towing capacity in this half-ton pickup is 13,200 pounds.

The current generation of the GMC Sierra 2500 HD was first launched in 2020, giving Windsor and Glastonbury buyers both gasoline and diesel V8 powertrain options. The awesome 10-speed Allison automatic transmission that was previously available only for diesel models is now available in GMC 2500 gas-powered trucks. What's more, the diesel engine has increased its power and torque for the latest model year, making it an even more productive work machine.

The GMC Sierra 3500 HD is the only truck made by GMC that's equipped with dually rear wheels and it's the most powerful truck GMC makes. Like the GMC 2500 HD, the GMC 3500 HD operates exclusively with the highly regarded Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. You choose either of two 6.6-liter V8 engines, with the gasoline version givings you 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque while the Duramax® diesel cranks out 470 horsepower and an incredible 975 pound-feet of torque. The maximum conventional towing capacity in the GMC Sierra 3500 HD reaches up to 20,000 pounds with the diesel engine. When it's equipped with a fifth wheel, towing capacity tops out at a mind-boggling 31,800 pounds.
